Side B is a small, precise bugfix that correctly reorders a guard to prevent ghost items and incorrectly-marked voted pairs in the ranking reducer, fixing a real correctness issue with a targeted, verifiable test update. Despite A's larger footprint, B delivers more durable, unambiguous value per line changed.
